§ 2.01.100. Election of a presiding officer.

  • In accordance with state law, the members of the Board of Supervisors shall elect one of their number who shall preside at all meetings of the Board. The Presiding Officer shall be designated as the President of the Board of Supervisors, shall have all duties and responsibilities of the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors as set forth in the Government Code or the County Ordinance Code, and is responsible for maintaining order at meetings and has all the authority to maintain order as called for in state law.
